چکیده

This article presents a methodology to determine the risk of aircrafts lateral runway excursion during landing via mathematical modeling. In addition, is demonstrated by means detailed calculation value aircraft Airbus A310-200, in view maximum weight and appropriate range velocities according International Civil Aviation Organization specification. Obviously, demonstrates that developed math solutions equations presented herein are powerful tools evaluate majority for any airport. The method also applicable assess residual level at specific airport its deviation compared recommended safety level. Consequently, rate offers airports’ operational management departments viable tool so measurements could be adopted. Finally, it not only but width.

Airport Veer-off Risk Assessment: an Italian Case Study

The objective of this paper is to assess the veer-off risk of an Italian airport that is characterized for having near 12,000 annual movements. The name of this airport is not disclosed for security purposes. The methodology used followed the principles of probabilistic risk analysis in order to characterize the events and assess the corresponding damages. The study used statistical data about ...

Throughput, Risk, and Economic Optimality of Runway Landing Operations

This paper analyzes the optimal level of operations on a single runway used only for arrivals. Two risks associated with landing procedures are the risk of a wake vortex encounter and the risk of simultaneous runway occupancy. We develop optimization models to maximize successful landing operations while mitigating these risk factors. The risks are mitigated by enforcing go-around procedures wh...

A Model for Runway Landing Flow and Capacity with Risk and Cost Benefit Factors

As the demand for the civil aviation has been growing for decades and the system becoming increasingly complex, the use of systems engineering and operations research tools have shown to be of further use in managing this system. In this study, we apply such tools in managing landing operations on runways (as the bottleneck and highly valuable resources of air transportation networks) to handle...

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Hybrid Algorithms for the Multiple Runway Aircraft Landing Problem

Over the past few decades, air traffic has experienced a tremendous Growth. However, as the air traffic develops, the limitation of the runway becomes the bottleneck during the airport operation and scheduling aircraft landing present a complex daily task encountered by most air traffic control towers. In this paper, we study the Multiple Runway case of the Aircraft Landing Problem (MRALP), whi...
